FITSI to attend FISSEA Conference
March 7, 2011
Later this month, FITSI will be an exhibitor at the 24th annual
conference of the Federal Information Systems Security Educators’
Association (FISSEA).
With the theme “Bridging to the Future – Emerging Trends in
Cybersecurity,” the conference will be held March 15-17 at the
National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in
Gaithersburg, MD. The FITSI exhibitor booth will be staffed on March
16.
This year’s FISSEA theme was selected to “solicit presentations that
reflect current projects, trends and initiatives that will provide
pathways to future solutions.”
“The FISSEA conference is always an excellent source of information
about trends and developments that are shaping the complex world of
federal IT security,” said Jim Wiggins, FITSI executive director.
“Both FITSI and FISSEA share similar interests in promoting
awareness and understanding of the unique requirements for federal
IT security. It’s also a great opportunity to network with people
who share an interest in the federal IT security Body of Knowledge.”
Dr. Ernest McDuffie, Director of the National Initiative for
Cybersecurity Education (NICE) headquartered in NIST will provide
the keynote address. Parties interested in attending this year’s
conference should get all the details at the FISSEA website at
http://www.fissea.org.
