FITSI to Exhibit at Federal IT and Security Conference Hosted by the National Capital Area Chapter of ISACA

The Federal IT Security Institute (FITSI) will
be an exhibitor at the monthly conference hosted by the ISACA
National Capital Area Chapter (NCAC) on Tuesday, April 19. The
conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn at Key Bridge,
1900 North Fort Myer Drive, Arlington, VA from 7:30 a.m. until 5
p.m. (Eastern).
FITSI will be exhibiting details of its role-based Federal IT
Security Professional (FITSP) certifications targeted at manager,
designers, operators and auditors. Attendees of the conference can
stop by FITSI’s table and pick up a free voucher for one free exam
attempt in 2011.
At the one-day conference, attendees will learn about emerging tools
in the Federal IT security workspace and will discuss recent
security breaches and prevention techniques. Other subjects to be
discussed include emerging risks and remediation strategies in
federal IT security, as well as new cyber policies, standards and
frameworks being developed to combat risks.
Among notable speakers will be Dr. Ron Ross, senior computer
scientist at NIST, who will discuss new guidance from NIST on
enterprise risk management related to IT security. Dr. Ross is a
frequent speaker at public and private sector venues including
federal agencies, state and local governments and Fortune 500
companies.
According to NCAC, the conference will be especially useful to IT
auditors, security and governance IT professionals and other
